MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT, ZSA

 

I am really happy that the ZSA website in a new design and a new format is being launched for the benefit of all the members- past and present. I am also confident that the website will be able to provide information on zoological science in particular and other biological science in general. Further concern inquisitive persons can quench their thirst of zoological sciences by surfing this website. I express my sincere gratitude to the members who took the troubles in formatting this website, particularly Dr. Pinky Baruah of Guwahati College, and Dr. Chhandrashree Bhuyan of Aryavidyapith College. I also like to thank Dr. Jyotishmita Das, Dr. Afifa Ksausar, T. G. Devina and others who helped immensely in fulfilling our desire. Lastly, I wish all the best to our esteemed members

Dear Members and Well-Wishers, It is with immense gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility that I step into the role of General Secretary of the Zoological Society of Assam (ZSA). Since its inception in 1983, the ZSA has been a beacon of excellence, bringing together passionate zoologists and fostering a vibrant community dedicated to the advancement of zoological sciences. Under the visionary leadership of many stalwarts, the society has grown from strength to strength, hosting its first annual conference in 1985 and continuing to achieve milestones ever since. Today, the ZSA proudly stands as a hub of academic brilliance, supported by a distinguished network of life members, Institutional members, annual members, and student members who contribute tirelessly to its progress. As we move forward, I am deeply committed to upholding the rich legacy of the ZSA while embracing new opportunities to elevate our society to even greater heights. Together, we shall strive to enhance our impact on zoological research, education, and conservation at both national and international levels.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all our members, advisers, office bearers, and well-wishers for their unwavering support and active participation. Your dedication is the cornerstone of our success, and I am confident that, with your continued cooperation, we will achieve remarkable accomplishments in the years to come.
